Q. What is unique about Eck®?
A. Yes, Eck® will prevent corrosion on all metals.
A. We do have a U.S. Patent awarded in 1997 for 20 years. The purchase of Eck® gives you the right to use our Patent when you use the product.
A. Absolutely not! Three of the world's largest commercial paint manufacturers tested Eck® and endorse it. In fact, they routinely recommend Eck® to their customers who include truck, automobile, and bicycle and boat manufacturers.
A. Mineral spirits, alcohol or similar products nicely remove any excess material.
A. Simply spray or brush Eck® on the two different metals being assembled, spray or brush nuts, bolts, rivets, etc. and any holes.
A. Eck® was engineered to prevent dissimilar metal corrosion that always occurs sooner or later when you fasten aluminum and steel together. Eck® makes a barrier between the two metals with zinc acting as the sacrificial metal. God made aluminum and steel to not like each other causing paint to bubble or blister and Eck® keeps them apart.
A. Yes. Eck® comes in brushable and aerosol forms. We supply you a MSDS with each new order. Eck® has been tested by an independent laboratory and found to be well below both the OSHA and ACGIH standards.
A. Eck® has been engineered to never dry. Eck® will turn tacky in about 15 minutes. This is of great benefit because it wont dry; crack and fall off.
A. We have customers that coat electrical connectors with Eck® to prevent corrosion.
A. Yes you can but why take a chance. Those other products have nothing in them to actually prevent the electrolic reaction that occurs with dissimilar metals. As an example, those other products sweat with temperature change or washing and that moisture can act as an electrolyte putting the metals in contact. Eck® has the zinc absorb the energy, preventing the corrosion.
